We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands-on Construction Foreman to lead day-to-day operations on residential construction projects. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Cranbrook, BC.
Primary Role
The Foreman is responsible for coordinating trades, managing site activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring the project stays on schedule. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who understands residential construction from the ground up, can read plans, solve problems on site, and communicate effectively with both trades and the project management team.
Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and coordinate daily activities on the construction site.
- Direct employees, subcontractors, and trades to ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
- Ensure details and finishes are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Project Communication
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding site progress, delays, deficiencies, and concerns.
- Take site photos and maintain appropriate project documentation.
- Notify management of potential changes, additional work, or issues that may affect project cost or schedule.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of residential construction experience, with previous leadership or foreman experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building processes.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction standards.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Working Relationship
The Construction Foreman will work closely with the Project Manager, Estimator, site staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and homeowners to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards.
The Foreman is the day-to-day leader on site and is expected to take ownership of site operations while keeping the Project Manager informed of progress, concerns, and decisions that may affect the project.
