We are looking for an Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Cranbrook, BC.

Primary Role

Estimators calculate how much construction projects will cost, taking into account labour, materials and equipment requirements. They negotiate with suppliers, gain quotes from subcontractors, and use that information to compile detailed cost estimates for a client.

Responsibilities

• Effective communication with all potential clients, so all pertinent information about their project is received and a full-scope estimate can be provided.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Effective time management.

Tasks

• Coordinate with the sales manager.
• Reference the customer product selection list.
• Procure bids from subcontractors.
• Compile all data.
• Correspond with clients to ensure all information is received before quoting their project.
• Prepare proper wording on all estimates.
• Read plans.
• Prepare quotes and estimates.
• Cross-reference and triple-check estimates against budgets.
• Follow up with potential clients.
